1. What is the English for Life ESL Program?
The English for Life ESL Program is designed to help adult learners improve their English skills for everyday communication, work, education, and community life.
Classes focus on speaking, listening, reading, and writing in practical real-life situations.
2. Who can join the program?
The program is open to adults who want to improve their English skills.
All backgrounds and nationalities are welcome.
No previous English experience is required for beginner classes.
3. Is there a cost to join?
The program is free for participants, thanks to community support and partnerships through the Evens Pierre Project.
Donations are welcome to help support future classes.
4. How do I enroll?
To enroll:

5. How long is the program?
The ESL program runs for 12 weeks.
Classes meet two times per week, and each class lasts about 90 minutes.
6. What will I learn in the program?
Students will learn how to:
Introduce themselves in English
Communicate in everyday situations
Ask and answer common questions
Speak with teachers, doctors, and employers
Read simple signs and forms
Write basic sentences
7. What level of English is required?
Beginner classes do not require any prior English knowledge.
Students will be placed in a level that matches their skills.
8. Do I receive a certificate?
Yes. Students who complete the program will receive a Certificate of Completion from the Evens Pierre Project.
9. Are classes online or in person?
Classes may be offered in person, online, or in a hybrid format, depending on program availability and student needs.
10. What materials do I need?
Students will receive learning materials during the program.
You may also need:
A notebook
A pen or pencil
Access to a phone or computer for online classes
11. What if I miss a class?
If you miss a class, instructors will help you catch up with lesson materials and practice activities.
However, if you miss four classes, you may need to register for the next available session to continue the program.
Regular attendance is strongly encouraged to get the most benefit from the English for Life ESL Program offered by the Evens Pierre Project.
